It has been on all the local news channels  ---  Notre Dame Cathedral was on fire yesterday, April 16, 2019.

We thank God that apparently no lives were lost due to this fire, but a lot of damage has been done.

Evansville diocese retired priest, Fr. Joe Ziliak, was interviewed by one of the local stations, as he has been to the Notre Dame Cathedral

several times.  He recounted watching the live news cast showing the spire on fire before it suddenly toppled. Many art works have been

relocated and much work will need to be done to clean and renovate the iconic Cathedral.
